Essential Function  (Responsibilities)

The Off-Shift Supervisor at Venture Aerobearings LLC is responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing operations during 2 nd or 3 rd shift. This role ensures production goals are met in alignment with safety, quality, cost, and compliance standards while fostering continuous improvement through Lean principles. The supervisor will manage team performance, coordinate scheduling to meet customer requirements, and serve as the primary point of contact for production-related issues. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive operational excellence and maintain adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

 

  • Apply Lean principles (SKF Production System) in daily operations and problem-solving activities.
  • Support production teams in achieving goals related to safety, quality, cost, output, and compliance.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Communicate key business and customer updates effectively to employees.
  • Oversee off shift manufacturing processes and schedule production to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand business and financial metrics, enhancing individual and team capabilities.
  • Ensure  assigned  employees  are  aware/comply  with  all government,  customer  and  applicable  policies,  procedures,  rules  and  regulations. 
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external organizations, and vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of requirements.
  • Provide  ongoing  management, coaching  and  counseling  for our  Self-directed work teams,  guiding  them  in  current  positions  and  assisting  with  career  development  and  training.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related issues, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, providing clear feedback and actionable development plans.
  • Oversee and administer the disciplinary process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and manage time and attendance records, aligning workforce availability with production goals and operational requirements.
  • Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions that support goals.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing role
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership or support position.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate or advance Microsoft Office 365 skills/knowledge

 

Desired

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Prior supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing team based environment
  • Six Sigma/Lean training
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure that they are met
