Job Summary:

SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world’s leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize knowledge of SKF Aeroengine North America design standards and manufacturing processes to create 3D models (using NX).
  • Generate inspection and manufacturing drawing packages for new bearing designs
  • Processing drawing change notices
  • Assist to resolve manufacturing issues related to drawings
  • Generate NC code for manufacturing using the 3D model
  • Generate CMM inspection programs using the 3D model
  • Back-up system administration and assist in addressing NX and Teamcenter express system issues.

 

Job Requirements:

  • The successful candidate shall have an Associate Degree in a technical manufacturing design / technical drafting field, or a minimum of 5 years related work experience in the areas of design and/or manufacturing. 
  • In-depth working knowledge of 3D parametric modelling and AutoCAD systems is required. 
  • Experience in NX and industrial product drafting is a plus.
  • Strong PC skills are preferred.
