Summary:
In September 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business—creating a new company focused on the rapidly evolving global automotive market. By joining this role, you’ll help build something extraordinary from the ground up.
We're looking for a Business Development Specialist to lead and evolve our Powertrain Product Line for Passenger Vehicles in North America. You’ll drive our transition from combustion engines to electric vehicles in the independent aftermarket, collaborating across internal teams and external partners.This position is central to building robust relationships and truly setting a new standard of customer excellence at SKF.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full product lifecycle—from launch to phase-out
- Evaluate technical proposals from suppliers and competitors
- Validate product samples and document results
- Analyze market data to spot product gaps
- Maintain master data (applications, OE linkages, competitor cross-references)
- Collaborate with SKF factories and suppliers in alignment with Purchasing
- Analyze financial data and lead projects to boost efficiency and profitability
- Provide support to Sales and ensure strong customer engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field (automotive/mechanics knowledge preferred)
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills; comfortable with pivot tables, graphs, and presenting business cases
- Data-driven mindset and interest in market analysis
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and quick to learn new systems and tools
- Comfortable working across cultures and functions with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel occasionally
