Job Purpose
- Act as the voice of the customer to ensure that SKF is aligned with customer needs and timelines.
- Identify and develop business opportunities for O&G and Neutron Chopper product lines including upgrades, spare parts, repairs, new parts, service contracts, condition monitoring, software, preventative maintenance, training and other services.
- Management of relationships with customers, including responding to inquiries, handling complaints/issues, and evaluating technical risks.
- Support customers to manage their large magnetic bearing assets throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage asset information to plan for scheduled maintenance and track asset status
- Co-ordinate asset management activities with internal stakeholders including business development, engineering, customer service, production and quality teams.
- Support Marketing Activities including Trade Shows, LinkedIn and other medium
- Work closely with Field Service Engineering to ensure customer needs are met
Key Jobs Functions 1. Sales
Presales promotion
After sales RFQ response
Manage commercially related contracts – Master Supply Agreements, Standard Rates, Inspection Rates, NDAs
Spare controller part sales
Spare spindle hardware sales, S2M and Calgary supply
New offerings such as Condition Monitoring and Software sales – MBScope, Observer, and associated hardware
Repair quotations
Maintenance of sales forecasts and activities – MMR, MBTrack & CRM
Maintain business funnel for 5-year time horizon
2. Customer Support
Management of inventory and issuing of inventory to customers to satisfy spare parts storage contracts
Customer communication of delays to delivery for project related sales
Field service & customer training quotation and purchase order acceptance
Product warranty management
3. Invoicing
Field Service invoicing
Supply agreement invoicing – condition monitoring, storage agreements and annual contracts
Certified tuning invoicing
Support on overdue payments
4. Asset Management
Asset support planning – audits and updates of equipment 5-year plan
Commercial follow-up after interventions and failure analysis
5. Technical Engagement with SKF Engineering Activities
Provide technical guidance and direction to Field Service, Calculations Support and Project Engineers to ensure that SKF is aligned with customer needs and timelines
Responsible for technical direction in consultation with Engineering Managers on decisions regarding issues and operation of the products
Design and Implementation of ISO processes
